What Our Primary Care Physicians Do
At Superior Health, we offer a wide range of services to meet all your healthcare needs in North Carolina. Our board-certified primary care physicians are equipped to handle everything from routine check-ups and sick visits to specialized prescription services and women’s health needs.
Let’s dive into the specific services we offer to help you achieve optimal health and well-being.

Annual Physical Exam
An annual physical exam is the cornerstone of preventive healthcare, giving us a snapshot of your current health status and allowing us to detect potential issues before they escalate. During the exam, we will assess your vital signs, conduct necessary screenings, and discuss any concerns or questions you may have about your health. It’s an opportunity to review and update your medical history, evaluate ongoing treatments, and plan for a healthier future.

Diagnosis for Sick Visits
When you’re not feeling well, timely medical attention is crucial. Whether it’s a nagging cold, the flu, or more severe symptoms, at Superior Health, we understand the importance of quick and accurate diagnosis. Our healthcare providers take the time to listen to you, assess your symptoms, and may perform basic tests like throat swabs or temperature checks to diagnose your condition.

Prescription Services: In-Person or Virtual
Managing medications can be a crucial aspect of your overall health strategy, and we aim to make this process as seamless as possible. If you need a new prescription or a refill, our doctors can provide this service both in-person and virtually. Each prescription is carefully evaluated based on your medical history, ongoing treatments, and current symptoms to ensure maximum efficacy and minimal side effects. Once our primary care providers write you a new prescription or refill your current one, they’ll send it to your preferred North Carolina pharmacy for easy pickup.

Insulin & Other Diabetes Prescriptions
Managing diabetes often requires specialized medications, and our doctors are well-equipped to prescribe insulin and other diabetes-related medicines. Primary care providers at Superior Health can provide you with an ongoing management plan that involves regular monitoring and medication adjustments, ensuring optimal blood sugar levels and overall health.

High Blood Pressure Medications
High blood pressure can be a silent but dangerous condition. Our physicians are experienced in prescribing medications like alpha blockers or other medications to manage your blood pressure effectively. Regular consultations, either in-person or via telehealth, allow us to monitor your condition and adjust your medications as needed for the best results.

Antidepressants & Psychiatric Medications
Mental health is as crucial as physical health, and our doctors are qualified to prescribe a range of antidepressants and psychiatric medications. After a thorough evaluation, including consideration of your medical history and symptoms, we offer a tailored treatment plan designed to improve your mental well-being. Our primary care providers are experienced in treating depression, anxiety, among other mental health conditions.

Health Counseling for Women
When it comes to healthcare, women have specific needs that require specialized attention. Our board-certified physicians are adept at preventative screenings, family planning, prenatal counseling, and testing for infections or STDs, in addition to addressing menstrual issues and menopausal symptoms. Our approach to women’s health is personalized and compassionate, focusing on creating effective treatment plans that not only address your immediate concerns but also contribute to your long-term well-being.

Urgent Care for In-Office & Virtual Visits
Emergencies don’t always wait for appointments. At Superior Health, we offer urgent care services both in our Charlotte location and through our telehealth platform. Whether it’s a sudden fever, acute pain, or any other urgent medical issue, our board-certified physicians are available to provide immediate, high-quality care.
