Superior Health Medical and Wellness is a physician-led practice founded by Dr. Lisette Akers, MD, MBA. We provide comprehensive primary care through telehealth for patients in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia, and in-person medical aesthetics at our Charlotte, NC clinic.
We offer virtual primary care for the whole family, including chronic disease management, mental health support, sick visits, medically supervised weight loss, wellness exams, and urgent care. At our Charlotte office, we provide physician-administered aesthetic treatments including injectables, PRP, skin resurfacing, and regenerative therapies.

Dr. Akers grew up in Miami, FL and completed her residency at Atrium Health, where she built her foundation in family medicine. A board-certified physician with over 16 years of experience, she holds dual credentials in medicine and business administration — and founded Superior Health Medical and Wellness with one mission: healthcare centered around the patient, not the clock.
As a mother of three, Dr. Akers brings both clinical expertise and genuine personal understanding to every visit. Her approach is inside-out and outside-in: treating health from within through primary care, and supporting confidence from the outside through medical aesthetics. She takes the time to understand your symptoms, your history, your goals, and your life.
